I am having WICKED deja vu. Okay, last year I wanted this houndstooth coat from Express. (www.expressfashion.com). Well, I say I “wanted” it, but it was actually more like “if I don’t purchase and wear this wonderful item to sleep every night, I’ll simply die.” Same diff.
I didnt buy it because it was 200 friggen [...]

I’m really excited about fall. I get like this every year, and my feeling of excitement continues right up till the end of the year. So many consecutive holidays, which means tons of decorating, cooking, baking, parties, etc. Yay!
Decorating the House for Fall. I went to decorate for fall this past weekend and was [...]

We gave Gunnar a bath last night. There was moderate constant itching but nothing like the self mutilation that went on last week. Again, the benedryl and the itchy stick did nothing to calm him down, but at least the oatmeal bath worked a little. Phew. Hopefully tonight we’ll get something stronger from the vet, [...]

So we think Gunnar has allergies, and we’re at a complete loss as to what he’s allergic to.
When we first brought him home, he was fine. A few weeks later we noticed he began to itch his tummy, armpits and inner thighs and chew at his feet. When we took him in for his [...]
My Current Obsession

Purple is one of my favorite colors, which explains why I’m so excited about the upcoming surge for purple this season. Deep purples and jewel tones like wine and plum are huge this fall!
That being said, Nine West has these booties that I simply must have.
UPDATE!!! I went to look for these fantastic little [...]

It’s an election year, and I have to admit that I am just as caught up in the media hype as everyone else. I keep FoxNews on while I’m in the kitchen, and I’ve been listening a lot to talk radio in the evenings when I drive home from work. In my opinion, its [...]
Dinner at Chez Heathie

Last night I bought a basil tree. The awesomest thing ever.
It sits in my kitchen and I pluck off live basil to cook with, instead of opening the annoying plastic packages you get from the store, which seems to dry out the basil and brown its edges.
Plus, for the week or two that [...]
Annual Fall Cleaning…and Clothing Memory Lane
Posted in Uncategorized, tagged Around the house on September 10, 2008 | 1 Comment »
This past weekend was the first weekend in months where Mikey and I were both home, with no specific plans. I’ve been freaking out for weeks at the state of the house. I mean, it’s cleaned adequately, as in, picked up, things in their places, for the most part, and dishes and laundry done.
What [...]
Things I want to do. Period.
Posted in Uncategorized, tagged To-Do List on September 10, 2008 | 3 Comments »
Okay, so I have several friends right now that are blogging about lists of the things they want to accomplish or experience before a certain date, the most popular being before they turn 30. What a great idea.
It got me thinking about my own ultimate “to-do list,” and thought I might list a few things [...]
